Tissue Maheshwari Kolam Inpired Lambani

This is a lovely soft pastel peach pink FULL TISSUE MAHESHWARI WHICH WE HAVE EMBROIDERED WITH LAMBANI KOLAM INSPIRED PATTERNS. The pallu has a large Kolam design with smaller motifs in the body and a border in chainstitch. DONE BY ARTISANS IN TAMIL NADU. The saree was hand woven in Maheshwar MP and then sent to remote areas in Tamil Nadu for embroidery by tribal Lambani Artisans. It is not a traditional lambani design but we have used the MAKI STITCH . These traditional stitches are flower designs done with loop and running loop stitch.
